I want to thank everyone who offered their kind wishes or advice during my recent health “event.” You’ll be happy (or not, depending) to know that I seem to have smoked myself through it successfully: the radiating pains have ceased entirely, and it turns out I only feel the tightness in my chest when I’m at or thinking about work. Anyway, feeling much better, turned a corner, etc. Maybe the best thing is that my appetite is back. In fact, I just ran down to the deli and got their special breakfast sandwich: four slices of American cheese and double bacon on a buttered roll. Man… how good is bacon? Suggested slogan for the bacon industry, which they can use free of charge: Bacon! Really, that’s all you need.
