The backstory here is that Doree asks me this question at least once a day, sometimes more. And she’s not catching these on her RSS reader or anything; it always happens suspiciously soon after the post goes live, as if she were constantly refreshing John Mayer’s blog or something. And one time, back when we were at Gawker, she was in charge of the music for the office, and her iTunes started playing “Your Body Is A Wonderland.” She tried to act all surprised—”What is this? How did this get on here? I didn’t even know that I had this!”—but by the way she was blushing we knew it was a lie. That’s right: Doree Shafrir is obsessed with John Mayer.
