If you hate this vagina-haver you hate ALL vagina-havers.

I know it’s a waste of time to get worked up about a feministy-but-written-by-a-dude! article from Salon, but this one makes the same remarkably stupid point twice: Men “don’t object to a woman in the White House, they say. They just object to Hillary. Even though, in this election, that’s the same thing.” It’s like saying that if you don’t vote for McCain you hate the Irish. (Which, coincidentally, is why I don’t support McCain.) There are plenty of reasons not to vote for Hillary Clinton—a dislike of dynastic politics, her craven and calculating vote for the war in Iraq, the arrogance and secrecy that were at the heart of the last Clinton administration, her inability to admit error, the intelligence-insulting contention that having been First Lady prepares you to be president, her support for the abomination that was the 2001 bankruptcy bill, the sheer incompetence of her campaign thus far—that have nothing to do with her gender. In fact, I give her a few extra points for being a woman: if she were running for Shirt Ironer-in-Chief she’d have my full support.*

*Kidding, ladies. I bet she slacks on the collars.
